I remember having meals with my family and talking about life, school events while sitting on the floor when I was a kid or teenager. But as I grew up, dining tables became popular in every home, and we stopped sitting on the floor for our meals.
Our old dining table was in the dining area for nearly 7 years. It hardly served its purpose for us and instead became a storage space for various items like decorations, placemats, tablecloths, toys, bottles, diapers, and so much more. Can you relate to this?

The first thing I did when I started my minimalist journey was to sell our six seater dining table because it wasn’t useful. We spent a year without chairs and then bought a low table for eating on the floor.
Now this corner of home is very dear to me. It has become my most beloved area in the house where I can comfortably sit and concentrate on things that are important to me.
