When I decided not to send my 6-year-old to school, I was worried about how she would learn certain subjects like math and science. But as time went on, I realized that she learns best through hands-on experiences. So, when it came to teaching her about the human body, I was pleasantly surprised at how much fun we had together!
Veda enjoys matching activities and learns well through them. Matching things and observing how they are done helps her understand important concepts. It motivates her and I always search for activities that involve matching, so she can have fun while learning.
We have been learning about the human body for a while now, and this activity always brings us joy.

She enjoys laying puzzle pieces on her body to understand internal organs anatomy.
For this activity, we used what we already had.
- Organs of the Human Body Flashcards
- Internal Organs of the Body Puzzle.(Use code “LearningWithVeda5”)

Summary of the Activity:
- Use non-technical language and easy-to-understand words.
- Stay consistent with the language used in the previous response.
- Summarise the main points effectively.
- Ensure coherence and clarity in the content.
Use easy language to explain like…
- Our brain is the body’s control centre.
- The heart is located in the chest and pumps blood all over your body. It’s always working even when you rest, sleep or eat.
- The lungs are the organs used for breathing etc.
- Gratitude. We learned to be grateful towards our body, which can move, walk, jump, crawl and whatnot whenever we want. Your heart, brain, lungs, stomach and every organ are working hard all the time to keep you healthy and happy.
